The Nemo Rose has a two-pronged name, each inspired by a prominent source. The case design is similar to another watch in Stuhrling Original’s collection, the Nemo, which was named after a famous story by Jules Verne. The octagonal bezel draws its design from the portholes found on ocean liners, but with the Nemo Rose, attention is instead drawn to the dial. The Nemo Rose proudly displays its mechanical automatic movement by way of its skeletonized dial. Subtle at first, once you notice the stenci-cut dial’s stylized rose design, it will become clear and apparent: this is where the timepiece gets the second half of its name.
